For all Academy programmes a minimum is required in any of the following:

What to have prepared?
If you have a portfolio of your prior work and experience in theatre, please have it with you to discuss. It could include photographs, programmes, lighting plans, prompt copies, etc. This is a great opportunity to provide a starting point for discussion with your interview panel.

What to expect?
The interview day will begin with a talk about the course content and structure, and an opportunity for you to ask questions and meet the Programme Leader.
The discussion will be conducted in English only. This is a chance for the panel to get to know you.
Photographs will be taken on interview day for SPAA social media and panel members’ usage only.
Please let us know if you DO NOT wish to have your photo taken or to be filmed during the interview process.
What to have prepared?
You will need to prepare and perform one (1) musical theatre song in English; this can be from any musical theatre style or genre.
This needs to be sent to admissions@spaa.ae before your interview date.
Optional: please send us a 1-minute video of movement. This could be in any style / genre of movement you wish to demonstrate, such as jazz, contemporary, etc. and must be to music.

You will need to prepare one (1) audition speech from a published play, which should last about 2 minutes, and no longer than 3 minutes.
*Please note that ALL audition material needs to be presented/performed in English and must NOT be written by the auditionee. All monologues must be sourced from a published play.
